News sources report, a man died early Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident that occurred east of Shingletown in Shasta County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man, whom the Shasta County coroner’s office identified as a 59-year-old Shingletown man, was in a small blue car traveling on Highway 44 near the Shingtown rest area.
