Media sources indicate that a 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase while drunkenly driving a stolen car in Desert Hot Springs Wednesday. Sheriff’s Sgt. Anthony Williams said the Joshua Tree man was arrested after a seven-minute chase that spanned from Cabazon to Desert Hot Springs. News sources reported that the owner of a medical marijuana dispensary in San Jose was arrested after being injured in a car accident near Highway 156 Monday. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 2004 Lexus was being driven by a 15-year-old. At around 1:30pm Monday, the unidentified teenager drove off the road and crashed into a fence near the Highway 156 flyover southeast of Gilroy. No other vehicles were involved in this crash. Santa Cruz Man Charged with DUI
News sources reported that a 20-year-old Santa Cruz man was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol for drunken driving and possessing a weapon Saturday. The man was driving his BMW sedan north on Empire Grade when he was pulled over by CHP officer Sarah Jackson. Jackson said that the initial stop was because she noticed the man was playing his car stereo excessively loud. The BMW pulled into the UCSC campus after being directed to stop around 6pm. News reports state that a man crashed a sport utility vehicle into the kitchen of a Compton residence Tuesday. According to California Highway Patrol reports, a 20-year-old Compton man plowed the black SUV he was driving into the home at about 10:35 p.m. A female resident of the home had been sitting in the kitchen just prior to the crash, but had been prompted to leave the room when her dog, Cobra, ran away causing her to chased after it, (read more)

Bus Driver Arrested for DUI
A Turlock school bus driver was pulled over by California Highway Patrol after 911 received phone calls indicating the driver may be intoxicated. There were no students on the bus, and the driver was placed on leave after the incident. The driver, a 39-year-old from Turlock was driving north on Highway 99 just after 7pm when she was pulled over north of French Camp Road by police officers.
