According to recent reports issued by the California Highway Patrol, the number of DUI arrests reported during the New Year’s holiday in certain areas has gone up, however, the number of accidents has lowered. The reports show that in the Merced area, there were 50 percent fewer auto accidents during the last holiday period compared to the previous year.
