News sources report that a multi-car collision tied up traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge and resulted in moderate injuries Sunday night. The crash occurred in the left southbound lane of the bridge’s mid-span. According to California Highway Patrol reports, around 8:10 p.m. a 2007 Mercedes roadster read-ended a 1990 Mercedes coupe. A four car pileup around 9:30am this morning shut down traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco. Mercury News reported that the multi-car accident was caused by an out of control big rig truck rear ending a small Kia car. The Kia was forced over the center median into oncoming traffic.
