News agencies reported that a car carrier crashed on Highway 99 in Modesto Tuesday after it’s tire failed, injuring two people. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Eric Parsons, the accident occurred early Tuesday afternoon on southbound Highway 99 when the car carrier’s tire failed. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a Toyota Sienna. Both vehicles then slammed into a metal guardrail attached to a concrete medium.
