BatteriesPlus have decided to expand a recall of battery packs used with cordless tools due to several hazards. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, these batteries were recalled because they can explode unexpectedly. The products involved are the Rayovac NI-CD and the Rayovac NI-MH cordless tool battery packs that have part numbers beginning with CTL, NI-CD, RAYOVAC or NI-MH printed in white lettering on the product sold in voltages 2.4 to 18 volts in various sizes and shapes.
