A small plane piloted by a student crashed into a Santa Monica home Monday, injuring the pilot and a worker who was painting the house that was hit, according to reports. The worker suffered minor injuries to his hair and hand. The pilot broke his leg. Both were taken to a nearby hospital and are currently in stable condition. Federal plane crash investigators are saying that a pilot’s poor planning caused a small plane to run out of fuel and wreck during a forced landing on a Chino Hills golf course July of last year, report news sources. According to the National Transportation Safety Board’s final report, which was released this week, the pilot said that he had prepared a three-leg flight plan for a planned Kernville to Corona trip that included a fuel stop after the second leg.
