News sources reported that a deputy of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department’s Porterville Substation sustained minor injuries Tuesday when his vehicle left the road and went onto and embankment. Drunken Driver Crashes Into Home’s Backyard
A 57-year-old man from Porterville crashed into the backyard of a nearby home and was arrested for suspected drunken driving. A Porterville resident was stopped at an intersection headed east on Westfield Avenue when a 28-year-old man rear-ended him. The suspect immediately went into reverse after the car collision, backing through a fence speeding at 50mph and rolling into an area resident’s backyard.
