A man was rescued from his car Tuesday afternoon by two Fullerton city employees minutes before the vehicle was crushed by an oncoming train, report media sources. According to reports, at around 2 p.m. the 78-year-old man had been involved in a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Basque Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue, the impact of which sent the man’s car through two fences and on to railroad tracks.
