News sources report, a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the 2008 alcohol poisoning death of a teenage Redding girl at a friend’s house has been tossed out by a Shasta County Superior Court judge. The judge ruled that the girl’s parents, who had brought the suit against the friend and her family, could not legally prevail at trial. Stockton Car Accident Kills 2 Teens
A high-speed, single-car crash claimed the lives of two teenagers Friday when the driver lost control of the vehicle. California Highway Patrol police reports indicate that witnesses saw the BMW 328 traveling south on West Lane near Morada Lane at speeds ranging from 80 to 100mph. CHP spokesman, Officer Angel Arceo, said that the driver lost control for an unknown reason, crossed the center divide and struck a concrete wall on the opposite side of northbound West Lane.
