The trailer company Vermeer has decided to recall specific units of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Vermeer RX912T models of trailers. These models of vehicles have been found to be equipped with an inadequate clearance between the slack adjuster arm and the trailer frame. This lends itself to the possibility of the axle contacting the arm and bending it, causing the brakes to possibly lose their braking ability due to the bend. Multiple news agencies covering recall announcements have revealed that several vehicles are being recalled over incorrectly welded frames. The official recall announcement was issued recently and according to the statement published in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, Vermeer has issued a recall for all units of the 2007 through 2012 Vermeer BC1500 Trailers following discoveries that during the vehicles’ assembly process, a patch of the main vehicle frame was not welded correctly, which could result in bending and even fractures.
