Two teenagers were hit on Espinosa Road in two separate car accidents, west of Rogers Road, in the area of Castroville, leaving one person critically injured and the other fatally wounded. The first crash happened at 8:30pm when a 52-year-old man from Salinas was driving south on Espinosa when a 17-year-old girl from Salinas was crossing the road. The driver couldn’t stop in time to avoid crashing into her. She was brought to two hospitals for treatment. At around 10pm, a 29-year-old man was driving east on Espinosa when a 13-year-old from King city stepped into the roadway in front of him.
According to news reports, he could not avoid hitting her and she was thrown from the roadway. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Officials are investigating what caused both accidents. As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, my thoughts are with everybody involved in this crash and I hope the injured teenager heals quickly from their injuries.
