Washington Wants National Texting and Driving Ban Adopted

Washington is pushing to adopt a national ban on texting while driving.

According to accidents data, distracted drivers unfortunately cause one in ten highway deaths. In Minnesota, only those over 18 can talk on the phone while driving. More drivers are now focusing on their electronic devices on highways and slow-speed streets.

The article goes on to affirm that 15 people are killed daily because of distracted drivers. Officers are now ticketing drivers who may seem too distracted while driving. Citations for distracted driving in the region of Minnesota can cost $100.
