According to news sources, a woman sustained fatal injuries and died in a single-vehicle collision on Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic after colliding with a power pole on the roadway.
The 20-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee when she reportedly crashed into an Edison power pole on the roadway, subsequently smashing into a horse corral, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The roadway was reportedly closed for several hours as a result of the accident. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after sustaining fatal injuries.
The accident was a single-vehicle collision and did not involve any other vehicles, the CHP officer said.
