According to several news outlets, an accident that happened last Sunday sent a woman from Rancho Cordova to the hospital.
The release issued by the California Highway Patrol has showed that a minivan was traveling on the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 when it suddenly was rear-ended by a Honda Civic. According to the official reports, the minivan was going at about 55 mph when the accident happened. Troopers say that the Honda Civic driver, a 19-year-old motorist from Redding claimed she didn’t see the van right in front of her. Both vehicles spun out of control as a result of the impact of the crash and ended up resting off the side of the road. The van reportedly overturned and came to rest on its top.
The authorities have disclosed that one of the passengers in the minivan, a 37-year-old woman from Rancho Cordova, was injured as a result of the occurrence.
No other injuries were reported.
As a Los Angeles car accident lawyer, I sincerely hope that the woman injured in this unfortunate accident is recovering quickly from all of the wounds she sustained. My sympathy goes out to her and her family. I urge all drivers in California to keep it in mind that they must refrain from letting distractions take their attention away from the road ahead. A second of inattention could cause serious accidents.
