According to a series of news sources, a wrong-way driver accident that happened in Oakland is still under investigation.
The official accident reports revealed that the crash took place on the northbound lanes of the Interstate 880, just north of Highway 980. A vehicle driving the wrong way entered the I-880, drove across the freeway and crashed into a 1998 Honda Civic. Both motorists sustained injuries and are now recovering from their wounds. At this moment, the California Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses in the crash and should have more details available soon.
